Beryl's World of Flowers has been on Raddlebarn Road for close to fifty years, and the opening hours tell you what kind of business survives that long. It opens at 8.30 in the morning, Monday to Saturday, and stays open until half past five on weekdays. That is a shop built for people going to work, coming back from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital a mile up the road, or picking something up before a shift. Fashionable florists open at ten.
