Jamie Ryder Flowers is the only entry in this guide that belongs to Digbeth rather than to the business district, and the address does real work. The Custard Factory is the old Bird's custard works on Gibb Street, converted into studios, independent shops and workspace, and it draws a crowd that is younger, more design-literate and considerably less interested in a cellophane cone than the Colmore Row trade is. A bespoke florist makes sense there in a way it would not make sense on New Street. The work is sold as bespoke rather than catalogue, with customers encouraged to come in and talk about what they want, and the one published customer note I can find picks out the gift range as stock you cannot buy elsewhere.
